better air efficiency

I have a Ion Xe with a virtue board and a virtue qev with a 50/45 tank about how many shoots should i be getting cuz i went out back today the tank was sitting on just about 3800 and i only got a hopper full and 3 1/4 pods does this seem right if not what am i doing wrong and how do i fix it?

That seems to be about right. The type of firing assembly that the ION has is not exactly an efficient design.

i'm not too sure on the ion these days, but that was one of hte main reasons i got rid of the ion, it is an air hog. the tech bolt is not going to help that much. If you really need to shoot more paint out of a tank, you need to look into a better air efficiency gun overall.

There's not much you're going to be able to do to improve the efficiency of the Ion. It's an inefficient design for air use. It's not bad for the price but SP isn't supporting them anymore (being that they filed for bankruptcy) and you may want to consider something newer.
